This year we support the Middle East with our prayers and offerings. We thank for remembering of those who are being persecuted only because they believe in Jesus Christ!

November 11 - The National Independence Day
This year we celebrate 99th anniversary of regaining independence by Poland. On this occasion our project group of III gymnasium students together with the school music group ”Melange” prepared solemn presentation. On November 13th we had opportunity to listen to a lot of great patriotic hymns and songs which illustrated difficult and crucial moments in our history: partitions of Poland, national riots and participation of Polish soldiers in I World War.
We have alreday finished the action of the School Caritas titled „To school with a Smile”. We have collected 480 PLN. Half of the money will go to the school charity needs. We THANK to wonderful VOLUNTEERS for their work and we are inviting the new ones to support us.

CLEAN UP THE WORLD
"Clean up the World-Poland" is a part of the world movement to protect natural environment. It originates in Australia and was created in 1989 by Ian Kiernan, an Austarlian businessman and a sailor. There are almost 40 milion volunteers from 40 countries in the world in the movement.
This year's motto was 'THERE IS NO RUBBISH, THERE ARE MATERIALS”.
Our school took part in the action as usual. The students cleaned the area around the school, watched some videos on ecology and talked about the idea „If you want to change the world-start with your own yard”.
:: Gdańsk-Sopot: Educational and recreational trip
On September 20th students from III lower secondary class went to Gdańsk and Sopot to start work on their educational project.
The participants' task was to collect materials for a long-term English project. Two tourist guides ”Top five of Gdańsk” and ”Top five of Sopot” are going to be the final effects of this undertaking. Apart from visiting the two cities the class also went to Gdynia Orłowo where they climbed picuresque cliffs of Gdańsk Bay.
The night 15-16 September the pupils of V and VII grade spent at school in a very active
way. Their idea was to search for interesting ways of having time together differently than usual.
So they danced, sang, played games in and outdoors, ate common meal, played ball at the pitch at midnight and... they came to the conclusion that it was much much better than sitting in front of computers or using mobile phones...
BACK TO SCHOOL
A solemn celebration of the new school year opening took place on September 4th this year. The school hedamster of Primary School no 34 welcomed students, their parents and teachers. Everyone sang national anthem as each year and then class tutors met with their students to inform them about timetable and other important issues.
Since September 1st 2017 our school-The Group od Schools no 22 has been turned into The Primary School no 34.
:: We have a prizewinner!
| On May 11th 2017 Gustaw Dąbrowski, the student of VI primary class won III prize in a municipal contest “In the World of Myths”. This event has been organized for many years by the Primary School no 14 in Bydgoszcz. Best congratulations to Gustaw.
:: 72nd ANNIVERSARY OF THE SECOND WORLD WAR VICTORY.
On the occasion of the day we commemorate our school patron The III Regiment of Storm Air Force. Lessons of history teach us about their combat trail form Warsaw to Berlin.
:: A day of the Earth
As every year we celebrated A Day of the Earth on April 28th. The festivity consists of a lot of various events depending on grade level. Younger students prepare theatricals on the ecology theme. The also take part in art and poetry competitions. The older ones prepare posters motivating students to protect our planet and the environment. Each class has its own idea how to celebrate this special day so there are some interesting undertakings happening. The common part however is always the same – everybody devotes some time to clean the area near school and its neighborhood.
:: In the Sweetland
10 On April 10th the students of Ia primary class visited “The Sweetland” which is a place where handmade sweets are prepared. The magic tastes, aromas, shapes and forms inspired children to try and “produce” the lollypops themselves!
They came back to school in sweet moods.
:: Cats and Kittens
15th March was a day when I primary graders were handed in the prizes for taking part in the contest „Cats and Kittens from my Library”. The event took place in SOSW in Bydgoszcz. We are proud of Janek Mikołajczyk whose work “The Cat in Shoes” was awarded I place and form Patryk Żołnierek, the winner of II place. The students of III primary class, Julia Janicka and Jan Bondyra were awarded special prizes.
:: A BIG WELCOME TO SPRING
The results of the school art and literature competition ”Welcome Spring” were announced on March 21st. The winners were the children of I-IV primary grades who wanted to welcome spring taking part in this art and literature event: Hubert Gapiński, Aurelia Rodzik, Zuzia Klimaszewska, Tosia Floriańczyk, Mikołaj Weynert, Zuzia Markowska, Marika Kwolek and Vladislav Volnyi.

:: A trip to Pałucka Cottage
On March 21st the students of IIIa and IIIb primary classes went for a trip to Gąsawa where they visited Pałucka Cottage. The children got familiar with Easter customs and traditions. They cooked baked cakes, decorated Easter eggs, made butter and formed Easter lamb form it and prepared Easter floral table decoration.
When the table was ready all students and their tutors sat at it and ate Easter breakfast. A big surprise was the arrival of the hare who gave little gifts to each child. The visitors had an opportunity to watch farm animals there: goats, hens, ducks, a donkey. The impressions were unforgettable.
:: Mathematics Kangaroo Competition
On March 16th 44 participants of Zespol Szkol no 22 took part in the international competition
“ Mathematics Kangaroo”. The contestants had 75 minutes to solve tasks on maths. On that day the memorial Kangaroo cubes were handed round the classrooms. There were some students who managed to assemble the cubes. Our congratulations.
:: A sweet excursion
”Karmelkowo” is the name of a place where students of VI primary class headed for on March 17th. They took part in candies and lollipops production process. All the student made a lollipop themselves. It was snail shaped and tasted like a banana. Apart from hat they could buy some special and unique sweets in Karmelkowo.
:: II place
On 01.03.2017 in a sports hall of Zespol Szkol no 15 in Bydgoszcz the representative students of our school took part in elimination round of sports competitions organized by Pomorska Newspaper and The Municipal Office in Bydgoszcz. called “A White Bear”. It was the 49th edition of this well known contest. The sports rivalry turned out to be a big success to our representatives because we won II place having defeated The Primary School no 28.

:: The visit in The Emergency Call Centre
08.03.2017 On March 8th 2017 the II a primary graders paid a visit to The Emergency Call Centre in Bydgoszcz. This institution operates calls to emergency numbers 112. People operating the calls must be able to distinguish false or unnecessary calls which are 83% of all 112 calls. The visit make the children aware how important it is to use this number properly.
Apart from that the students watched first aid demonstration.

:: A "SPORTS " ASSEMBLY
The school headmaster together with Mr Tomasz Czajkowski, the chairman of Parents Committee congratulated the students of I–IV primary classes on their great performance during the Sports Competition “A White Bear”. The children got memorial badges and their involvement was awarded a loud applause by all school students.
:: Valentine’s Day- February 14th
The origin of this day can be found in ancient times. Sometimes it is also associated with the Romans’ custom when men chose their female partners by a draw. Today Valentine’s Day is told to be held to memorize St Valentine, the bishop and Christian martyr. On this occasion the Students’ Autonomy attracted students with some events, such as Valentine’s post, fruit treat to everybody and all those dressed red on that day were free from tests during lessons.
:: Fancy Dress Party
W On Thursday, February 23rd there was a Fancy Dress Party in our school. The costumes were amazing and the students had a fantastic time dancing, taking part in various competitions and playing games.
This time students of all grades met at the party and the fun was even better due to that.
:: Winter Sports Competitions „Biały Miś”
For the first time the representative group of students of ZS 22 took part in The Winter Sports Competitions “Biały Miś” (A White Teddy Bear). This sports event has been already organized for 49 times and it has become a traditional winter contest for primary school students in Poland. In our city the organizers were The City of Bydgoszcz Council and the newspaper “Pomorska”. The first, elimination stage of the competitions took place in the sports hall of ZS 17 and it was a great success for our students who competed with the representatives from The Primary School no 13 and The Primary School no 17. Our contestants were in a worse position because of the fact that we have no V graders in our school this year, however the team got involved in the rivalry so passionately that finally they resulted the second position.

:: International Day of National Language
February 22nd was announced The International Day of National Language. On that occasion there was a Recitation Contest organized in our school. The categories of competitors were divided into two groups: for I-II primary graders and for III-IV primary graders.

:: Let’s help!
We have started an annual charity collection of money and goods for the animal shelter in Rozwarzyn. Do not be indifferent, any food products, blankets, dishes, towels and even small amounts of money mean a lot for our four-legged friends.
:: Visiting The Health Care Centre
On January 20th the representatives of The Students’ Autonomy visited The Health Care Centre on the occasion of Grandparents’ Day. The students wished the residents all the best, handed in some gifts and then sang songs. The atmosphere was nice and warm and the seniors were thankful for this solemn visit.
:: A Library lesson
Na The students of I primary class paid a visit in the Municipal Public Library. The aim of the lesson was to make them familiar with the rules of using a library and to encourage them to read books and get interested in readership.
:: Nativity Play
The children of I-VI primary classes prepared and presented the Nativity Play 2017. Watch chosen pictures.
:: A History Lesson
On January 5th 2017 The Historical Theatre of Gniew Commanders paid a visit in our school. They presented a history lesson titled “The First Piasts Warriors and Knights”. The pupils had a unique chance to get familiar with customs and traditions, weaponry and uniforms of those first army formations.
:: IN THE HEALTH CARE CENTRE
The group of gymnasium students with three teachers paid a visit to The Health Care Center in Smukała on December 20th. The group had been preparing to this event for a few weeks practicing carol and Christmas songs singing and playing guitars. We also made some gifts for each patient of the Centre. The welcome was very warm and solemn. The residents sang with us and they were really touched. After the concert we handed our gifts to them and wished Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
:: Christmas Eve in each class
It has become a tradition that the last day of school before Christmas holidays every class organizes the symbolic Christmas Eve. The students share traditional dishes, prepare presents and sing carols together. Santa Claus visited every class and tald a story of Christmas traditions.
:: Christmas in ZS no 22
As every year the youngest students have prepared the Nativity Play on the occasion of Christmas. They presented the story of Jesus’s birth, sang carols and Christmas songs. The children were beautifully dressed up and very excited! Most of their parents were present at the performance, took photos and supported them very much. The older ones prepared by religion teacher, the Reverent Rafał Muzolf sang a concert of Christmas songs and Carols. The guests joined the singers so the atmosphere was very warm and nice. Meanwhile there was a school market organized by some parents and everybody could buy something special for Christmas there.
:: GYMINASIUM PROJECT
”Peer Education in International Exchange Projects” – it was the title of the project prepared by the group of lower secondary students. Most of them took part in this year’s two international exchanges organized by our school. The performers tried to convince the audience that learning from reach other, also on the level of different nations with their culture can bring wonderful effects and the informal education teaches us important and valuable skills. The presentation viewers heard short stories about the exchange with Scotland and Finland, saw some pictures and watched examples of national dances typical for Scotland and Finland. The final was really sweet because every student had a chance to try a delicious Finnish and Scottish cake.
:: The Museum of Army
On November 30th the students of I primary grades paid a visit in The Museum of Army in Bydgoszcz. They were invited to have a lesson on the occasion of Polish Independence Day. The children were told lots of interesting facts about the army, they saw soldier’s backpack but the biggest impression made the weapon show and the exhibition of tanks. At the end the ones who wanted could try on soldier’s caps and helmets.
::The cultural integration in our school
30 The group of volunteers visited us on November 30th. They were the students from different European countries- Portugal, France, Spain, Germany and Italy who had come to Poland for the European Voluntary Service organized by “Wiatrak” Foundation. The guests showed our students some cultural aspects of their countries, traditions, customs and told some funny stories about their nations. They also played the guitars and sang some traditional songs. It was a great experience for the school pupils to listen and speak only English and to get in touch with young people from another countries.
The third grader, Oliwia Wojciechowska helped as a translator if someone needed help.
:: Ginger bread workshops
Ginger bread workshops were an unusual attraction for younger students. They were given special pastry cutters of various shapes connected with Christmas and prepared ginger bread beautifully decorated. While the cakes were in the oven the whole school smelled absolutely amazing. The results of the students’ work were great and delicious!.

NATIONAL DAY OF INDEPENDENCE
On November 9th all students took part in celebration of 98 anniversary of the independence of Poland.
The I lower secondary class with their tutors Anna Kryniecka and Olga Klewicz prepared the solemn presentation on that occasion. Apart from historical aspect the students also prepared poems and songs concerning this event. At the end of the ceremony the school headmaster Grzegorz Kozak asked everybody to present our national symbols on the day of November 11th to honor this most important day for our country.
The I primary graders Pledge
On October 21 the I primary graders made their students’ pledge in our school. Tutored by Aleksandra Gapińska and Małgorzata Zawistowska the children prepared some presentations and promised to be good and diligent students of the school. They were given diplomas and small gifts and after that they had a sweet treat together with the parents .
On October 20th-21st at WSG in Bydgoszcz the IV All-Poland Conference „Education for Safety and the First Aid” took part. Our school together with rescue services were the organizers of the event. There were 300 people present and they represented both medical and educational branches. The factual program and the workshop part were the main content of the conference. Thanks to eminent guests the participants had an unusual occasion to get to know deeply in the theme. The aim was to enrich participants in new experiences, to share their factual and practical knowledge on safety rules and procedures.
”Jaś and Małgosia” performance
The students of I and II primary classes went to ”Adria” theatre to watch a play “Jaś and Małgosia”.
The play told a story of a lost in the woods boy. The children learnt how goodness and innocence win the struggle with evil. Courage and love of the main hero taught the young viewers to believe in themselves,
Classes with the Police
The police officers visited the youngest classes of our school- IIA, IIIA and IIIB to tell them how their everyday work looks like. The children were shown the police officer’s equipment: handcuffs, a bulletproof vest, the uniform etc. The young learners were taught how to behave in case of a dog attack
and how to infirm the rescue services about dangerous situations.
The police visit was very interesting and useful.
The trip to Gdynia
On October 8th the students of III primary classes went for a trip to Gdynia. They visited the harbor and saw a sailing ship “Dar Pomorza” and a ship “Błyskawica”. However the most important aim of our excursion was a visit in The Music Theatre and watching a play “Piotruś Pan”. It was marvelous and unforgettable experience. The 3D effects and flying actors were absolutely amazing and the pirate ship and the crocodile scared most viewers. The musical was really beautiful!
The Police in ZS no 22
In September 2016 the I primary pupils met with the police officers to learn about safe way to school. They learnt about traffic rules, safe crossing street behavior, the rules in case of meeting stray dogs or strangers. Visiting the police car was the biggest attraction.
The first time we have hosted the musician form Pomeranian Philharmonics in our school was on October 5th. The school pupils took part in two concerts: for younger and older ones. The concert they listened to attracted them very much and afterwards the viewers had some revision on music theme. The musicians reminded everybody some facts concerning philharmonics, musical instruments, orchestras, singers and composers. In the end all the audience came to the conclusion that music can be listened to everywhere.
The day of September 30th was not a typical day for boys in ZS 22. On the occasion of Boys’ Day the girls in every class prepared special surprises for their men. There were games, competitions, sweet treats, tales, films in the cinema, sailing on the river Brda.
Something extraordinary took place in each class.
We are waiting for our oak trees
The pupils of IIA primary school planted acorns near the school building. Some of them expected to see the small trees the next day... However we have to wait till Spring to see the results of our work. Every “gardener” marked the place where they put their acorns so it won’t be difficult to find it when Spring comes.
Zosia from IV primary class represented our school in the final of Beautiful Reading competition on September 30th. It was organized by the Municipal Public Library in Bydgoszcz at the Old Square of the city. Zosia read a part of the novel by Irena Jurgielewiczowa “This Stranger”. Afterwards all contestants had an opportunity to visit the old library of Friars Minor of the Observance.
The Earth Day
On the occasion of The Earth Day the students of our school have cleaned the area around the school buildings. All gathered litter they segregated and put in the right containers.
In the TVP 3 studio
It was the next time when our students together with the pupils of Lower Secondary School no 24 took part in the TV program “To Be Healthy” realized by the TVP Bdgoszcz on September 20th 2016. This time the participants dealt with the issue of sanatorium stay and educational possibilities at the time.

An all-Poland IV Conference “Education for Safety”
It is the fourth time when we have a pleasure to invite to an all-Poland IV Conference “Education for Safety and First Aid. Integrated Actions of Rescue Service and Educational Institutions”. The whole undertaking is addressed to teachers, medical workers and service/ It will be held on 20-21 October 2016 in WSG in Bydgoszcz.
They red beautifully
On September 14th there was the first part of “Beautiful Reading” contest organized in our school. It was the entry stage for the competition held by Municipal Public Library in Bydgoszcz. The final part will take place on September 30th and our school will be represented by Zosia, IV grader.
WELCOME IN THE NEW SCHOOL YEAR
The annual new school year’s opening ceremony started in the parish church with the mass after which all students were welcomed by the school headmaster. The summer holiday competition results were announced and after that all classes had meetings with their tutors.
INTERNATIONAL INTERSCHOOL EXCHANGE
POLAND - FINLAND August 2016
In August 2015 we realized trilateral project of youth exchange in Bydgoszcz where we hosted groups from Finland and Portugal.
As a result of that the partner school Nurmijärven Yhteiskoulu invited us to Nurmijärvi near Helsinki where we stayed between 18-25 August 2016. We participated in the school classes and in other school events because our friends had started their school tear in the beginning of August. Each of the Polish participants lived with a hosting family which enabled them to experience culture, customs and communication in English. We were invited to the Municipal Office of Nurmijärvi where the authorities of the town presented us the Finnish school system and the youth policy in Finland which is very important for the state.
We participated in a real history lesson visiting a beautiful town Porvoo, the second oldest town in Finland. We saw a Church Porvoo Communion, The Runeberg Museum, the old chocolate factory and wooden houses by the river which belong toUNESCO world heritage.
At the Garlic Festival in Kerava we had the opportunity to try numerous garlic delicacies together with garlic ice creams... We also visited the oldest town in Finland, Turku and the capital Helsinki. The Finnish theatre evening was a great experience for us. The play by Aleksis Kivi titled “Nummisuutarit” was presented in a beautiful nature spot in the middle of the forest where the nature and very old chalets were the part of a scenery.
We learnt to play Finnish baseball and used traditional Finnish sauna by the lake Sääksi.
The farewell evening meant presentations of our countries and regions, dances, common singing and of course national cuisine.
We left Finland with new experiences, better communication skills and the conviction that it is worthwhile getting to know peers form another European countries and learning from each other.

Multilateral project of international youth exchange
With the support of ERASMUS Plus Programme, five partner organisations: from Finland, Scotland, Austria, Hungary and from Poland met in Glasgow to realize the final part of the exchange project in July 2016.
The project title “Fit for Europe’ shows only a part of plenty activities and events that 60 young people participated in. All of us were interested in getting to know new cultures, learning new skills, personal development and improving our communication in English.
Each day “belonged” to a different nation which meant lots of presentations, dances, singing and the main meal with national delicacies. Integration games and energisers were present in our programme every day as well as discussions, workshops and debates on the most important issues for today’s youth in present Europe.
Active recreation and sport included unforgettable climbing Dumbarton peak with sightseeing of Dumbarton Castle in the Loch Lamond area. There was also outdoor activity hiking, bike tours, swimming, kayaking and a fantastic visit to a famous football stadium Celtic Park. Some of us were given a unique opportunity to take part in a real match Scotland-Gibraltar!
Both our physical and psychical endurance were tested during a thrilling Night Walk which was so exciting that most of us wanted to repeat this experience once again.
We visited the amazing Riverside Museum and afterwards went to The City Chambers. This magnificent city hall remembering the times of Queen Victoria made huge impression on us all. The Scottish themed day was full of surprises. We were taught “Scottish Country Dancing”, listened to bagpipes, learnt how to make a real Scottish tartan and we were served the traditional Scottish dish: haggis. It was delicious.
The Evening of Talents was equally emotional. Plenty of young people presented their unusual skills and abilities.
We spent 7 days in Auchenguillan Centre where we learnt from each other, shared our emotions and experiences within five different national qualities.

TIME FOR BIKES...
During the last week of the school year the 1st gymnasium graders set off for a bike tour.
The route included Opławiec, Smukała, Bożenkowo, Maksymilianowo, Rynkowo to finish at the destination place which was Myślęcinek. Apart from the pleasure and fun to experience this expedition together the students could recognize the tourist advantages of the area they live in – beautiful forests, The Brda river, picturesque beauty spots where nature with fresh air reigns. The learnt about lots of interesting facts that one of the tutors, the school headmaster told young cyclists about.
X All-Poland Contest ”Let’s Save the Life”
On 21st May the final of X all-Poland contest „Let’s Save the Life” took place in The Group of Schools no 22, annual organizer of the competition. Twenty eight teams form all Poland took part in it after elimination round which was held on the Internet. The participants had to show their skills at first aid, for example to resuscitate a child, an adult, deal with patient’s breathlessness, broken limbs etc.

The Children’s Day
Saturday, May 21st was a very attractive and nice day for every student of ZS 22. The teachers, The Parents’ Autonomy and The District’s Council organized lots of attractions to entertain the children that special day. The school group Melange prepared singing presentation after which there were sports competitions, games, football and volleyball matches. Horse riding was also possible because two horses arrived to make children practice this kind of skill. There were some art contests too and a lot of tasty treats to eat. It was a really memorable day. Thank you all!

The Patriotic Day
n May 7the the students and the teachers took part in solemn celebrations to commemorate the victims of a war camp in Smukala. The event is annually organized by The Union of Former Political Nazi Prisons and Concentration Camps. The mass was held on the cemetery in Branowskiego street in Smukała Dolna.
"112 Don’t play in a difficult situation"
Maja Gaca from our school was awarded in a municipal contest „Don’t play in a difficult situation”.
The event was organized by The Crisis Management Department of Municipal Office in Bydgoszcz. Congratulations!
On Friday 29th April the musicians of Pomeranian Philharmonics visited us again with their next lesson titled “The Dancing Swans of Piotr Czajkowski”. We learnt about classical dances.
“The Cat’s Adventures – Generations’ Wisdom”
The students of I primary participated in a theatrical performance “The Cat’s Adventures- Generations’ Wisdom”. The event was marvelous and the children learnt that it is worth to learn from wiser and more experienced ones. The beautiful music, colorful costumes, fabulous masks made the spectacle even more unforgettable.
The trip to Toruń
On April 28th the firs grader went for a trip to visit Toruń. The Museum of a Ginger Bread was the place where they headed first. It was something special to bake a ginger bread there. The next step was a visit to a Legend House where the kids learnt some important facts about the history of Toruń. There were a lot of surprises for the visitors who enjoyed this adventure very much. Afterwards the guide took the group to do some sightseeing in this beautiful city.
The Earth is only one
22 April 2016 was The Day of the Earth celebrations in our school.
The performances prepared by the youngest students started the festivity. The ecological competitions were held and the prizes handed to the winners. The children had to show how we can protect our planet, what can be done by everyone each single day to help.
After that there was a fashion show but.. it was an ecological costumes show! That was really something spectacular. Then traditional point-to-point run was organized for 15 teams. At the points they had to do some tasks on paper. And the youngest children took part in a colorful march.
At the end everybody participated in cleaning the area around the school.
After the exam
April 18th, 19th and 20th were the important days of final exams for III secondary graders. In two months’ time they will leave our school. Now they are waiting for the exams results and they sleep more peacefully...
A Healthy Eating Week
This week was organized by The Students’ Autonomy with the help of The Parents’ Council. Delicious, healthy sandwiches, fruit and vegetables were served to the students. There were lots of theme talks in various groups and a few competitions connected with healthy eating habits.
We encourage everyone to eat wisely and take care about what is healthy for us.
Spring sandwiches without mysteries
IA primary graders prepared their own spring sandwiches and they learnt about healthy eating diets. They were proud to make well composed meal within the rules concerning healthy products and proportions. Their sandwiches were tasty, healthy, full of vitamins and beautifully decorated. And they made it themselves!
The most important test written
As all students in Poland our VI graders wrote their final test after the sixth grade on April 5th 2016.

The alpaca visit
The very unusual guest visited our school: Viking and Lazurek, the alpaca animals. I. II and III graders learnt a lot about those charming animals- how they live, what they eat and how to take care of them. The owner of the alpaca told stories about her interesting pets. The children were amazed and extremely inspired.
The King of a Stage and his Pupils
On 21 March 2016 the students of V primary and I secondary classes participated in an unusual concert in Pomeranian Philharmonics. The multimedia performance was prepared by the pianists and the composers. The students watched a film about how the piano is created. They learnt a lot about famous composers: Fryderyk Chopin, Ignacy Jan Paderewski, Władyslaw Żeleński, Wladysław Szpilman and others. The classical and modern version of their masterpieces impressed the viewers very much.
On 23rd March 2016 the IA primary children participated in Easter Museum Lesson. During the workshops the students got to know the most important Easter customs and traditions in Poland and in our region. They also had the opportunity to prepare beautiful Easter baskets and Easter eggs using various techniques.
On February 25th the youngest students participated in the Quiz “What we already know?” In this way they revised and elaborated on their work with their scheduled program. They did tasks, exercises, solved puzzles, did some manual work, crosswords, checked various senses, revised science knowledge. Everything was based on games and attractive activities.
They were also given some little gifts for their work.
The theatre performance
The students of I primary classes visited The Municipal Culture Centre to see the performance “Oh, this Mysia”. The story told taught the children that even the severe enemies can be united by friendship. After the play there was a theatre lesson when the students met with the actor who told them about the theatre, the equipment, scenery, the director’s and composer’s work.
The First Aid contest
On 24th February the students of I primary had extra classes with medical rescuers. They learnt about the most basic procedures concerning the firs aid. They got to know alarm telephone numbers. The rescuers showed the youngsters the ambulance from the inside and the necessary rescue equipment.
They also had an opportunity to measure the “patient’s” blood pressure. In he end the young rescuers were handed in little presents from Collegium Medicum UMK.
The Mathematics Celebration
The International Mathematics Competition The Kangaroo will be held on March 17th and because if it we are inviting all volunteers to celebrate mathematics on March 16th. There will be lots of games and various tasks which help you practice young mathematicians’ skills.
Extra music lesson
"Move you head and create music" – it was the title of the meeting with the musicians of the Pomeranian Philharmonic who visited us in the school on February 12th. The primary school students were encouraged to create their own music with different musical instruments and their own voices. It was really something extraordinary together with a lot of laugh and fun.
The Carnival Ball
The Parents’ Autonomy organized a carnival ball for the primary school students. It was a real disguise party and the characters moving around were absolutely surprising and very hard to recognize. There was a professional DJ and the dances, competitions, prizes, special food and drinks made the whole event an unforgettable evening. Find yourself in the pictures.
“The Pile of Coins” action results
In this year’s edition of the action the students of The Group of Schools no 22 and the
kindergarten children collected over 29 kilograms of coins. The sum of coins made the result of 441,99 zlotys.
Winter Holidays with felt
These extra classes were held on 27th January. The children learnt how to use felt to make some beautiful decorations and mascots. They sewed felt teddy bears, butterflies, cats, Easter eggs and decorations. For some of the children it was the first time when they had used needle and thread.
Winter holidays with decoupage
On 26th January the students had an opportunity to take part in extra activities devoted to the decoupage technique. They decorated the glass mats. They all did really well!
During the winter holidays there were a lot of interesting activities prepared for the students who did not like sitting at home and doing nothing. One of the offers was karaoke which attracted lots of the children of younger and older classes.
Life History Lesson
15 The travel through ages was the adventure which our students could experience due to the Historical Theatre who visit us every year. This lesson theme was Ancient Greece and Rome. We could learn a lot about former outfit, customs, weapon and defense methods.

Playing with mathematics
This is another offer for the students to spend time in an active way during their winter holidays.
The teacher conducting the classes encouraged young mathematicians to seek for the answers for plenty of questions, for example how to build a circle using equal parts and how to do it using different factors? How do mathematical nets look like? How many sticks do you need to build a cube?

”Melange” in the parish church
As each year our school music group ”Melange” performed Christmas carols concerts in the parish church. The young artists sang traditional carols and also some Christmas songs. The concert took place during the Sunday Mass on December 20th.
Life is a gift
That was the theme of a debate organised on December 17th in The Palace of Youth by The Lower Secondary School no 24. The sstudents of class Ia (Little rescuers) took part in the event to learn about saving people’s lives. Next they partricipated in workshops on the same issue.
Carol singing in Zespol Szkol no 22
It was a special day in our school, filled with the atmosphere of coming Christmas. Santa Claus came to each classroom to give sweets to children. After the classes the students celebrated Christmas Eve with their tutors. After that everybody gathered in the school gym hall where the very solemn Christmas festivity was waiting for the audience. The youngest students prepared nativity plays which were highly appreciated by their parents, friends, relatives and other guests. The next part was a beautiful concert prepared by the group “Melange”. They sang carols and Christmas songs inviting the audience to join their singing. There was also a surprise prepared by the teachers who sang their own repertoire of carols. Meanwhile there was a Christmas fair organized by The Parents’ Cometee. They sold delicious cakes and decorations to help the school gather some money for the students’ needs.
Our volleyball players’ success
This year our volleyball players won gold medal im the championship called Gimnazjada and brown medals at The XXIII Youth Olimpics of Bydgoszcz.
Santa Claus Day
This day we celebrated on December 4th in our school. Of course Santa visited us with a huge bag of chocolates handed into each student. Now we are looking forward to Christmas.
RodzinneFamily cooking with the VIPs
On November 24 in the ”Twardowski” restaurant the final of VII Municipal Competition “Family cooking with the VIPs” prepared by our school took place.
There were 18 family teams competing – this year’s task was to prepare salads and desserts. Each team was accompanied by a special guest.
On November 11th the first primary graders watched the play “Cinderella’s Story” in the Municipal Culture Center. The theatre “Buratino” prepared this performance for children who appreciated its magic and vivid action. Apart form the play the pupils had the opportunity to participate in a theatre lesson during which they got to know some facts concerning the history of a puppet theatre in Poland and in tye world.
The first expedition of IA primary class
Who are you? – Polish national symbols
A flag, national emblem, national anthem – these are our national symbols. Why is a white eagle our emblem? Has it always worn a crown? Why are red and white our national colours? And who was Dąbrowski from the national anthem?
Answers to all these questions the pupils found during the museum lesson in The Polish Army Museum. The new knowledge the students could use in specially organized games. It was a worthwhile event!
One... two... three... four... – playing with a rhythm
We hosted the Pomeranian Philharmonic musicians in our school. They told us about rhythm in Polish national dances. We pretended to be conductors and musicians. We are looking forward to the next meeting in a month.
On November 10th all the members of the school music group “Melange” invited students, teachers, parents and other guests to listen to their special concert. on the occasion of National Independence Day. We celebrate this national holiday on November 11th The content of the songs originates form well known poetry by Władysław Bełza, Tadeusz Rózewicz, Krzysztof Kamil Baczyński. It was a very touching concert which will be remembered for a long time.
The expedition into the Earth
The trip to the salt mine in Kłodawa was an extraordinary experience for the students of III, V and VI primary students. They learnt about the history of the mine and its function nowadays.
It was really exciting to go down 600 meters below the ground surface and walk along narrow corridors to the Santa Kinga’s Chapel. The pupils also watched the salt mine equipment and tools and also tasted some colorful salt walls. Each of the visitors took salt stones with them and 1 Kg of Klodawa salt.
::Becoming a kindergarten pupil
On October 29th the youngest children were officially announced kindergarten pupils by the headmistress of our school. They were given special diplomas on that occasion and souvenirs. The children presented some songs and poems after which everybody had a special treat.

Prevention against drug addiction of children and the youth- that was the subject of the lecture presented to the students of our school – V, VI primary graders and I-III lower secondary graders.
::A remarkable music lesson
On Monday, October 19th our students „moved into” the world of music. The Pomeranian Philharmonic musicians visited us with their presentation about chosen musical instruments and about some parts of music pieces. The pupils tried to guess the melodies, sang and tried themselves as young composers.
::Becoming official first grade students
The pupils of classes I A and I B have become the official students of our school after the solemn event which was held on October 14th 2015. The first graders prepared some artistic program to show their parents and invited guests what they had already learnt since September 1st. They sang songs recited poems and danced. Then the solemn oath took place – the children promised to be polite pupils, respect the school image, be good Polish citizens.
After the official part there was a party with parents and the students’ teachers.
::A National Day of Education
On October 14th the first Gymnasium students celebrated a National Day of Education with a special presentation. It was a kind of a “lesson” for everybody present at the ceremony because the young actors showed the audience eleven aspects that the school have never taught anybody and will never manage to do it. It was a funny set of short scenes however the content was quite serious.
Apart from the program the teachers were given warm words of gratitude with flowers. of course.
:: Bydgoszcz healthy and free from addictions.
On September 24th the V primary class participated in the open air event in the Old Square of Bydgoszcz. Its target was to show young people alternative activities preventing addictions.
:: LET’S NOT WAIT UNTIL THE WORLD CHANGES... WHAT CAN WE DO FOR IT?
It is not too much effort to keep the Earth clean for future generations. There is still hope that we are not too lazy to start acting. We had better start now and begin with our own, little worlds. That is the reason why we annually organize the action “Let’s Clean the World”. Do remember that “The lot of the Earth is also a lot of its sons and daughters, what happens to the Earth, happens to its sons and daughters...”
:: YOUNG RESCUERS
The class IA together with Gymnasium students participated in the TV recording of the program “For Health”. The program was devoted mainly to the first aid activities that should be taught from an early age.
IN ALLIANCE WITH OPPORTUNITIES
That is the name of trilateral project of the youth exchange the final part of which took place in Zespol Szkol no 22 in Bydgoszcz in August 15-24, 2015.
In cooperation with ERASMUS PLUS program we hosted two partner groups from Portugal and Finland. The youth from three European countries were joined by common action focused on personal development, gaining new skills, mutual recognizing of different and similar culture features, sharing experiences and learning from each other.
Polish participants taught their Portuguese and Finnish friends how to dance Polonaise, the Finnish taught us their national dance and the Portuguese showed us how to play drums and how to make puppies using... newspapers. The Finnish group promoted healthy style of living teaching us Nordic Walking and various ways of practicing sports outdoors. We headed for knowledge escapades to Pomarania and Kujawy region thanks to which we could show the guests our culture heritage and chosen aspects of Polish history. Having analysed street surveys conducted during the preparation stage of the project we were searching for common values present in lives of today’s Europeans. Apart from English we also practiced a bit of Portuguese, Finnish and Polish languages. We had also the opportunity to meet with the President of Bydgoszcz in The Municipal City Hall where we told about our unusual experience having the interview with the local press and radio, too. The kitchen of three nations, international football and volleyball matches, the ceremonial parade of all participants, coordinators and invited guests where we presented the effects of our cooperation –these are only chosen aspects of our co working.
The evaluation part of the project is still going on and then... maybe continuation, but in a different partner’s country.
